Why have improvements in microscopes over time resulted in revisions in the cell theory?

Here is some info i recycled froma previous question Microscopes started out as a piece of lens in a tube over an object to magnify it. Over time, Light Microscopes were invented... then Scanning Electron microscopes...with the newer inventions we are now able to see more clearly and see more. Therefore we've learned more and added more in. So with that we are now changing the cell theory based on new observations we've made.
