I deleted the posts because 1) hauntedwoodsgal is wrong, and 2) hauntedwoodsgal is not a mod on any account.

Did you try it with an an accent?  As in followers of Shi'ite vs Sunni Muslim sects.  Also, the Shi'ite are called Shia, so you could use that term as well.

Shi' ite can be used in wrong meaning. It's safest to just say Shia as e.mccormick suggests.
