\[8 \div 9 = \] 8 goes into 9 once. Remainder 1. So I got 1.1 as a conversation into a fraction. Catch 22 is I know the whole thing is 1.125, so where does the 25 come from?
it is nine divided by eight, not eight divided by nine
oh right, remainder is1, so \[1\tfrac{1}{8}\]
which is \[1.125\] not \[1.1\]which is \[1\tfrac{1}{10}\]
