Which value of k satisfies the inequality 26 – 8k > 2?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Where you given values to attempt? You'd basically solve for K. 26 - 8k > 2 8k > 2 +26 k > 28/8 k > 3.5

Which value of k satisfies the inequality 26 – 8k > 2? 8 10 4 2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

collect the like terms so you can solve for k 26-8k>2 -8k>2-26 -8k>-24 divide both side by -8 to solve for k and this also changes the inequality k<4

Whoops I made a mistake in my answer :o

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

as you can see from Mariam's answer...and it is correct....that k < 4 (k is less then 4)...so which one of your answer choices is less then 4 ? Because the answer is not 4 because there is no equal sign, just a less then sign.
