OpenStudy (linn99123):

DO U UNDERSTAND? D:

OpenStudy (bibby):

I was getting dinner

OpenStudy (linn99123):

*opens mouth* Feed me

OpenStudy (bibby):

im going to feed you knowledge

OpenStudy (linn99123):

ohh what a bummer -_- i wanted something better

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

dilated means to divide or to multiply

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

In this case it is multiplied...

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

So you just have to multiply all of the sides by 2 and then calculate the perimeter

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

\[P=2(B+H)=2[2(7)+2(3)]=2[14+6]=2(20)=40\]

OpenStudy (linn99123):

i hate being stupid it really is a curse

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

You can also calculate the perimeter of the figure and then multiply it by the scale factor...

OpenStudy (bibby):

just get the perimeter of the 2 rectangles |dw:1412983222704:dw|

OpenStudy (linn99123):

so 3*7 and 6*14 then add um o.0?

OpenStudy (bibby):

you're doing areas instead of perimeters

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

Perimeter = 3+7+3+7=2(3+7) Perimeter = 6+14+6+14= 2(6+14)

OpenStudy (linn99123):

but on the other question u said i was doing perimiter nbot areas D:

OpenStudy (bibby):

I just realized we dont need the old perimeter

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

Becasue Perimeter=2(l+w)=2l+2w=l+l+w+w

OpenStudy (linn99123):

O.O
