how can u addd negative frations?

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

When you add negative fracions it will become subtraction.

hartnn (hartnn):

like (-1/2)- (-1/4) ?

hartnn (hartnn):

you have your own example ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes yes @hartnn

hartnn (hartnn):

ok, note that 2 negatives (in math) becomes a positive so - (-1/4) becomes +1/4 got that ?

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

\[\frac{ -a }{ b }+\frac{ -c }{ b }=\frac{ -a }{ b }-\frac{ c }{ b }=\frac{ -a-c }{ b }\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes ma'am/sir

hartnn (hartnn):

now you have -1/2 +1/4 its a normal subtract

hartnn (hartnn):
