To be a solution. You are looking for 12=12. Put the x and y on one side of the equation and plug in the values of the coordinates. They are in (x,y) form. I can help you with the first point. 6x=12+6y 6x-6y=12 (-12,-14) 6(-12)-6(-14)=12 -72+84=12 12=12. That means (-12,-14) is a solution.
