let x [0.1] have a 3 periodic deciaml expansion, ie x= 0.a1a2a0a1a2..., for example x=0.123123123... show that x=a0a1a2/999 (in particular that x is a rational number)

kk well i cant get the symbol to work but between x and [0,1] there should be the back to front E for 'contained in'
