Provide a counterexample to show that the statement is false.
If the measure of angle AOB = 75 and the measure of angle BOC =15, then the measure of angle AOC= 90.
whitemonsterbunny17 (whitemonsterbunny17):
I know what a counterexample is, I just don't know how to prove the statement as false.

How does that prove the statement is false, though?

COMPARE THIS TWO

I'm not really getting it..
Can you try to explain it with words? I know it's a pain, but it'd be a big help.
OpenStudy (mathmath333):
there can be two cases
1.)angle AOB=angle AOC +angle BOC
2.)angle AOC=angle AOB +angle BOC
In first case
\(\large\tt \color{black}{75\neq 75+15}\)
but in second case
\(\large\tt \color{black}{90= 75+15}\)
