25 percent of 56?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

14!

OpenStudy (compassionate):

Hi, Turn 25 into a decimal. You can do this by moving two decimal places to the left. So 25 becomes 0.25 Now all you do is multiply. 25 x 0.25

lol i tried doing the steps for it but said it was wrong

OpenStudy (anonymous):

6.25?

OpenStudy (compassionate):

Use your calculator. 56 x .25

OpenStudy (compassionate):

Hehe. I said 25 x 0.25 I meant 56 x 0.25

OpenStudy (anonymous):

14 lol

Yes! This holds true for everything. For example, if you were asked to find 50 percent of 100. You would just make it into a decimal. So 50 becomes 0.50 Then just multiply it. 0.50 x 100 = 50.
