The polynomial below is a perfect square trinomial of the form: A^2 - 2AB + B^2 True or False 9x^2 - 18x + 36

OpenStudy (cwrw238):

if we take square roots of 9x^2 and 36 we get 3x and - 6 so if we write (3x - 6)(3x - 6) does that expand to 9x^2 - 18x + 36?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you!! i understand it now!

OpenStudy (cwrw238):

yw

OpenStudy (cwrw238):

as you see the middle term would come to -6*3x - 6*3x = -36x not -18x
