Use the given conditions to write an equation for the line in slope-intercept form. *** Passes through (2,3) and parallel to the line whose equation is y=(-1/4)x+2 My work so far: y-y1=m(x-x1) y-3=-1/4(x-2) y-3=-1/4x+1/2 y=-1/4x+3.5 <--- is this the correct equation or did I make a mistake somewhere?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that's correct

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay because my answer key says its y=-1/4x+7/2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it is equivalent, since 7/2 = 3.5
