OpenStudy (jazzeypooh):

Find the complementary strand to each of the DNA strands below ATTCGGTGC ____________ CGGCTTATC ____________ TGCTATTCG ____________ Find the complementary strand to each of the DNA strands below ATTCGGTGC ____________ CGGCTTATC ____________ TGCTATTCG ____________

OpenStudy (matt101):

The complementary strand refers to the sequence of nucleotides that base pairs with the strand that is provided. Remember, A pairs with T (in DNA) and G pairs with C. If the sequences above are written in the 5' to 3' direction, for the first strand, the complement would be 3'-TAAGCCACG-5'. See if you can figure out the others!

OpenStudy (jazzeypooh):

Yeah heres the thing I don't know how to figure any of them out

OpenStudy (matt101):

Is there anything in particular you don't understand from my answer above?
