What are the steps, in order, needed to solve 3x + 4 = 13? Divide by 3, and then subtract 4. Multiply by 3, and then add 4. Subtract 4, and then divide by 3. Add 4, and then multiply by 3.

C is the correct answer

OpenStudy (igreen):

First step is to subtract 4 to both sides: 3x + 4 = 13 3x = 9 Now divide by 3: x = 3

Change your picture. Now. First and last warning.

OpenStudy (igreen):

Since you subtracted 4 first, then divided, it's going to be C.

X=3 C is the correct answer

One thing i like to do when it comes to these types of equations is For example your equation is 3x +4 = 13 is go backwards So your answer to this equation is C because Subtracting 4 and then dividing by 3 will give you your answer.
