(-4 and 1/5) - (-13 and 1/10) change the denominator to be the same, what times 5 is 10 multiply by 2 to get 1/5 equals 2/10 and 1/10 stays the same new equation -4 and 2/10 - -13 and 1/10 -4 - (-13), negative minus a negative equals a positive solve to get 9 2/10 - 1/10 = 1/10 so simplified answer is 9 and 1/10
but thats not in the answers they have these are the answers: -Eight and nine-tenths - Negative eight and nine-tenths -Negative seventeen and three-tenths -Seventeen and three-tenths
