Not strictly a physics question but I'll give it a shot...pseudoscience are beliefs or theories whose proponents claim to be scientific but in reality have no basis in scientific fact. Here's a few you may be familiar with...you can find plenty of examples just by googling pseudoscience too:

- That crop circles are made by aliens
- That the world was going to end in December 2012
- Extrasensory perception (ESP) and psychics, clairvoyants, mediums, etc
- Cryptozoology (e.g. Bigfoot, Loch Ness monster, etc)
