Find the image of O(0,0) after two reflection Reflections one y=3 reflection 2 x axis

OpenStudy (stefrheart):

Oh this is not so hard now you know about reflections right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Kind of.

OpenStudy (stefrheart):

What do you know? i just want to know where to start

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I know how to do reflection when they give you the line and the shape.

OpenStudy (stefrheart):

So they gave you the line right the y=3 and what is the other one?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

They also gave x axis as the other reaction

OpenStudy (stefrheart):

is it x=2?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I don't think so...

OpenStudy (stefrheart):

can you write the last part

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Find the image O (0,0) after two reflection. Then gives the lines y=3 and the x axis

OpenStudy (stefrheart):

Okay so what type of line is a y=3? vertical or horizontal?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Vertical?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I mean horizontal

OpenStudy (stefrheart):

yes it is a horizontal line so you have a graph correct?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah

OpenStudy (stefrheart):

Now how many points away is (0,0) from (0,3)?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Three

OpenStudy (stefrheart):

So now go above the (3,0) and go up 3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay, so that would be 6,0 right

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I mean 3,3

OpenStudy (stefrheart):

no you were right it would be (0,6) i made a mistake on my (3,0)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So then I would use that with the x axis and get 0,-6 right

OpenStudy (stefrheart):

yes! :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Great! Thank you so much for your help!

OpenStudy (stefrheart):

welcome! :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

:)

OpenStudy (stefrheart):

Im glad i helped!
