Indeed you are correct, however as far as I know the symbol \([[x]]\) is obsolete, generally the used symbols are now:

\(\lfloor x \rfloor\) and \(\lceil x \rceil\)

(I had to quickly reread up on this topic, I had forgotten about it. Sorry for the long wait.)
