OpenStudy (gorv):

\[\cot(x-\pi/2)=-tanx\]

OpenStudy (gorv):

is it your Q??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes

OpenStudy (gorv):

here is trigonometric formula for cot Cot(A-B) = (CotACotB+1)/(CotB-CotA)

OpenStudy (gorv):

\[\cot(x-\pi/2)=\frac{ cotx*\cot (\pi/2) +1}{ \cot (\pi/2)- cotx }\]

OpenStudy (gorv):

cot(pi/2)=0 standard value =(0+1)/(0-cotx)

OpenStudy (gorv):

\[=\frac{ 1 }{ -cotx }=-tanx\]

OpenStudy (gorv):

as cotx=1/tanx trigonometric value

You are a life saver. Thank you so much!! I'll give you a medal :)
