2x=8y+24

OpenStudy (anonymous):

divide all for 2 and get x=4y+12

OpenStudy (anonymous):

when you are finding the x-intercept, y=0. SO sub that in: 2x -8(0) = 24 2x = 24 x= 24/2 x= `12 SO our x-intercept is (12,0) WHEN you are finding the y-intercept, x=0. SO sub that in: 2(0) -8y = 24 -8y = 24 y= 24/-8 y= -3 SO our y-intercept is (0,-3)

That's if your trying to find the (x,y) intercept.
