ANSWER IN 5 MINUTES FOR MEDAL AND FAN! ANSWER IN 5 MINUTES FOR MEDAL + FAN! What is the slope, and what is the y-intercept of the line? THIS IS THE EQUATION: http://static.k12.com/bank_packages/files/media/mathml_e55df286e6c9b75757e7667086d5a09cf006953d_1.gif @TheSmartOne @hartnn @lloio @iGreen

OpenStudy (igreen):

Remember this is just like the last one. It's in the form of: y = mx + b Where m = slope And where b = y-intercept.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I go to k12!

OpenStudy (igreen):

\(y = mx + b\) m = slope b = y-intercept \(y = \dfrac{2}{3}x - 4\) So what's the slope and what's the y-intercept?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

iT IS IN THE TOP LEFT CORNER.

OpenStudy (igreen):

The number that comes right before the x is the slope. The number that comes right after the x is the y-intercept. So can you tell me what the slope and the y-intercept are?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OKAY SO \[2/3\] IS M? and 4 is the b?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@iGreen

OpenStudy (igreen):

Yes! 2/3 is the slope. However, it's not 4..remember there's a minus sign right before it..so what is it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Negative 4.

OpenStudy (igreen):

Yep!

OpenStudy (igreen):

So: Slope = 2/3 y-intercept = -4

YASS! Thank you.
