What happens to atp after it binds to a protien

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It hydrolysis, it acts as a coenzyme that helps with translocation, and rna and dna repair, and with helping lipids etc.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I still don't understand, I know it binds to the protein and stuff but why does it turn into adp afterwards?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Cause when it binds and use hydrolysis it takes energy, so 1 Phosphate is gone, and left with ADP
