Give one example of a possible association between a certain eye color and hair color. Explain why you believe there is an association.

People with darker hair tend to have darker eyes. People with lighter hair tend to have lighter eyes.
The genes for both hair and eye color are extremely close together on the same chromosome. Because of this it is vary rare for only one of the genes to switch chromosomes via cross-linkage during meiosis. As a result it is very rare for some one to have blue eyes and dark hair or dark eyes and blond hair. (But it does happen)
