medal!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

How many regions would a net for a three dimensional solid like the one shown have?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Haha ok let's see

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so honestly this question is phrased confusingly I think this is asking for the number of faces this object would have?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the options it gives are 4,7,6,8

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh I just looked it up, yes it basically means faces, a net is a pattern you can cut and fold to make the shape so the regions of the net would be the faces of the 3D object which in this case has... how many faces?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

8?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes! Correct!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You will have to excuse me sometimes as it has been over 9 years since I've actually done geometry.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but do you understand what a net is?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

not really no

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ahh ok ever seen anything like this: |dw:1413321359987:dw|
