ok sure 4x and x+30 are supplementary, so they add up to 180 4x + x + 30 = 180; 5x = 150 x =50; <1 is supplementary to x+30 x+ 30 = 80 <1 = 180- 80 = 100;

oh sorry I apparently can't divide 5x = 150 so x = 30; and that would correct the second answer to 120. since x+ 30 = 60 and 180 -60 = 120.
