What is the centripetal force that would be required to keep a 4.0 kg mass moving in a horizontal circle with a radius of 0.80 meters at a speed of 6.0 meters/second?the answer i think would be 1.8x10^2 but dont know if it would be radially inward or outward

OpenStudy (isaiah.feynman):

Centripetal forces are radially inward.

OpenStudy (isaiah.feynman):

Centripetal force is given by |dw:1413325849639:dw|

thanks! :)

radially inward so the answer is (B) 1.8 × 102 newtons radially inward
