please help me i will give a medal. can you figure this out and describe the steps it took to get that answer please? 5y + 7 < -3 or 3y – 2 >> 13

OpenStudy (striker1298):

rose i think i can help

OpenStudy (anonymous):

please

OpenStudy (striker1298):

for the first one: subtract 7 from the left side and put it on the right side: 5y<10

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok thanks

OpenStudy (striker1298):

second one...

OpenStudy (striker1298):

also for the first one divide by 5 on both sides and you get y<2

OpenStudy (striker1298):

for the second one add 2 from the right side and add it to 13: \[3y-2+2>13+2\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks

OpenStudy (striker1298):

you then get 3y>15

OpenStudy (striker1298):

divide by 3 and you get y>5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you very much

OpenStudy (striker1298):
