OpenStudy (obsidionwolf90):

What is the area of a triangle with a base of 2.4 cm and a height of 0.8 cm? A. 0.96 cm² B. 1.6 cm² C. 1.92 cm² D. 3.2 cm²

OpenStudy (k_lynn):

The area formula of a triangle is \[b \times \frac{ h }{ 2 }\] The height of the triangle is 0.8cm. So 0.8cm divided by 2 equals 0.4. Now that you know what the height divided by 2 is, you can substitute numbers for variables.

OpenStudy (k_lynn):

The next thing you need to do is this. \[2.4\times0.4=?\] The answer you should get is 0.96...therefore\[2.4\times0.4=0.96\] Does that help?
