(will fan and medal) what is the scientific notation for.... 57,909,000 108, 000,000 150,000,000 228,000,000 779, 000,000 1.43 billion 2.88 billion 4.50 billion 5.91 billion

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you need scientific notation for each??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yup

OpenStudy (anonymous):

not all the work, just the answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok first one is 57.909 x 10 to the 6 power

OpenStudy (anonymous):

next is 10.8 x 10 to the 7 power

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wrong key, to the 6 power again

OpenStudy (anonymous):

next is 15 x 10 to the 7 power

OpenStudy (anonymous):

22.8 x 10 to the 6 power

OpenStudy (anonymous):

77.9 x 10 to the 6 power

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok give me a sec for the last 4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay no prob. thank you.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

are you sure there is a decimal in the billion problems??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh wait nvm i know what it is

OpenStudy (anonymous):

let me restart XD

OpenStudy (anonymous):

common error in scientific notation

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the rule is, the number used has to be more than 1 and less than 10, i gave you more than 10 sorry, just put the decimal one place to the left and one more to the power of each ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do you follow??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so the 77.9 x 10 to the 7 power is actually 7.79 x 10 to the 8 power

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if your listening post something

OpenStudy (anonymous):

alright its okay

OpenStudy (anonymous):

would that be on all of them?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ya, move the decimal to the left one digit then add one to the power

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hang on i will show you how to do scientific notation

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay
