Lateral area refers to the surface area of a 3D object such as prism, cylinder, cone etc., Lateral surface area is the sum of all sides of a 3D object except its top and bottom bases.

The center pole is 25 yd.
Can you determine the distance along the floor from the center pole to any wall?  Measure a distance perpendicular to the wall.  There is enough information in the problem statement.

No, you didn't do what I asked.  Draw that line segment.  Start at the center pole, stay on the floor, and draw until you hit a wall in a right angle - right in the middle of the base of the wall.
