If sin(x)=e^y, find dy/dx in terms of x

OpenStudy (amistre64):

run an implicit derivative ....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What is the result?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

yeah, what do we get when we actually take the derivative implicitly?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Cos x/ e^y?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

y' = cos(x)/e^y is correct, but since this is in terms of x, and we know what e^y is equal to ... substitute it in and simplify
