What is harmonic in the direct current power supply unit

Harmonics are a multiple of a fundamental frequency, if pure DC the fundamental is 0 Hz and there are no harmonics. I the DC source is from a rectified transformer output, it may have some harmonics. Traditional half=wave rectified of a 60 Hz would have harmonics of 120, 180, ... Hz, if full wave than 240, 360, ... Hz. There are other transformer/rectifier that are designed to work a much higher fundamentals.
