Can you explain this to me please. |2.5 − (−21.7)| = |2.5 + 21.7| = |24.2| = 24.2

1) A negative times a negative results in a positive. 2) Now you add those values in the absolute value 3) When you take the absolute value of anything, all it means is make it positive; if its negative, make it positive, if its positive, leave it positive.
