Find the vertical asymptote(s) if any of: f(x) = ln x + 3 h(x) = 1/2 ln x

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

f(x) matters if you mean ln(x+3) or ln(x) + 3 h(x) only case if x > 0 Where does that leave us?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ln(x) + 3, sorry. Therefore x > 0 But isn't that the domain?

OpenStudy (perl):

the vertical asymptote is x = 0 (the y axis )

OpenStudy (perl):

for both functions

OpenStudy (perl):

wont let me draw

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That's what I thought, I just wanted to make sure.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It's OK, I get it. I was confusing x=0 being the y-axis. :)

OpenStudy (perl):

correct
