A famers field is 440 feet long and the lngth is 4 times the width of the field how wide is the field?

Let us say that length is 4x then the width is x.
And it says the actual length is 440 so what would be the width.

So the length is 4 times the width. So the width times 4 should equal 440.
In numbers and symbols that would be \(4 \times w =440\)
