OpenStudy (anonymous):

@jdoe0001 PLEASE HELP MEDAL!!!

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

f(x) = sin(x) + e^x f ' (x) = ???

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i put it in my calc and got 0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i need someone to agree or disagree with that

OpenStudy (amistre64):

no need to use the calculator unless you simply need practice with the calc

OpenStudy (amistre64):

as jim points out, what is the derivative? that will tell us real quick if your answer is correct

OpenStudy (anonymous):

again, this is a pretest and i havnt learned that yet

OpenStudy (amistre64):

you havent learned how to do a derivative? or just these derivatives

OpenStudy (anonymous):

these

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thats why it says use a calc..

OpenStudy (amistre64):

hmmm, then i spose it amounts to how you use your calculator f' = cos(x) + e^x = 1+1 when x=0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so it would be 2?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

yeah .... so you need practice on your calculator skills :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

idk why im still getting 0, ok thankss

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

If it's a pretest, then you shouldn't be asking for help. This is something you should do solely on your own. If you don't know the answer, then that's ok. That will tell the teacher where s/he needs to focus their energy.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i like to learn before my lesson, so thanks for your input lol
