please someone help me! (x^12)^4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ah, this is one of the exponent properties! The property is: \[(a ^{n})^{m}= a ^{nm}\] The exponents multiply. So, when we plug in your original problem, the answer should be: \[(x ^{12})^{4}= x ^{12\times4}=x ^{48}\] Hope this helped!
