You could rewrite as (1-2x)(1-2x)(1-2x)
Then I would foil the first two expressions, then multiply that by the 3rd.
Well, do it. 1*(1^3)*(-2x)^0 3*(1^2)*(-2x)^1 3*(1^1)*(-2x)^2 1*(1^0)*(-2x)^3 Just build it.
Do NOT "FOIL" the first two and then multiply by the 3rd. Just multiply the first two and then multiply by the third. "FOIL" IS multiplication of binomials. I wish we didn't think it was something other than multiplication.
It means the same thing doesn't it?

No. You just confused it. In your sentence, you had "FOIL" and "multiply" listed as two different things. Very confusing.
