Why did the Americans win the revolutionary war

I'd say it was the fact that the Patriots knew the country side better than the Loyalist, they received aid from France which was England's rival at the time. And another reason was that the British in the 1770s would fight in rows with no cover and the Patriots used that to their advantage they used Guerilla Warfare tactics to knock down a British Platoon. The British believed in fighting and dying with honor and they thought standing shooting in a row worked a lot.
