Can someone Explain what this means?!?!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I will Medal!

OpenStudy (mstoldegon):

Most importantly, it represents Continental Drift. Pangaea was all the landmasses of the Earth solidly hooked together. It was stable like this for a very long time (millions of years). It also explains why there are similar rocks (and sometime plant and animal fossils) found on two different continents now - separated by thousands of miles of ocean. When is started to break up, two major landmasses formed (Laurasia and Gondwana, or sometimes called Gondwanaland). Although these continents have drifted around ever since, except for the sub-continent of India (the little green triangle in Gondwana), the continents have basically remained in the Northern or Southern Hemispheres.
