PWEEEEESE help me =( If water is pumped into a 36 gallon pool at an average rate of 3 gallons per hour, at what average rate, in gallons per hour, must water be pumped out of the pool so that it takes 48 hoursfor the pool to be filled to capacity?
Hi I am going to reply to this one instead of the last one since this is your most recent request of this question.
So you said that you got 3/4 in your other question. I believe this is because you just did 36/48 right? However this only represent the rate that you do want. Aka a rate of 3/4 gallon per hour into the pool. What you have instead is a rate of 3 gallons per hour being pumped into the pool. So if you want to solve for how much you should be pumping out, it should simply be the difference between your ideal of 3/4 gallon per hour and what you currently have (3 gallons per hour).
so what do i do? this question is confusing
Basically the gallons coming out has to be less than 3 gallons and the difference should fill the pool in 48 hours.
hmmmmm.....
still lost
okay different question how do you find the base of a triangle that is 30-30-120 if the perimeter equals 18?
