importance of working at the laboratory

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

so i think that what the students learning theoretically is more important practice it physically in the laboratory for easy understanding what have learned hope this will help you

OpenStudy (frostbite):

I personally like to say that working in a lab is a reality check of what we learn in theory. Usually theory is beautiful lines and given results, working in the lab gives the impression this is not the case, our data can be super ugly and hard to analyze, they can be difference from theory (the biggest problem for many students first time in the lab is to be true to their data) and you need to revise your theory. Not only do you get another understand of how theory relates to practice, but you also learn how to work in a lab and take all your have learned from theory into considerations when designing and executing your experiment.

And remember the following sentence: "Data are ALWAYS correct, they may just not show, what you want to see"
