jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

which one do you think it is? and why?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hurricanes swirl right? so i think rotation for sure... would that be right? but i'm confused if it's also periodic motion or translation :/

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

well do they move back and forth? or do they follow a curve or straight line?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

back and forth right? :/

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

check out this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0GRka5kHvyM

OpenStudy (anonymous):

whoahh so it moves back and forth and kind of at a curve?

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

No it's not going back and forth. It's just moving along a path.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ohh okay so is it translation and periodic motion since it only moves sometimes? :O

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

no

OpenStudy (anonymous):

just translation? :/

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

and what else

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

you said so above

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ahh rotation! because it swirls! is that right? :O

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

so rotation and translation

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yay thank you!! :)
