OpenStudy (abdullah1995):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sorry #3, I circled the part I got stuck at with pencil

OpenStudy (abdullah1995):

ok let me see if i can help

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay thanks

OpenStudy (abdullah1995):

ok so it's pretty straight forward. what part are you stuck on or what are you confused on ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so I was doing chain rule, and I got up to x-1 / x^2 + y-1 / y^2 =0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

for the numerator, how did they just get rid of x and y and get to -1/x^2 - 1/y^2 = 0 ?
