Classical in this meaning is of the first class quality. For example classical Greece. Renaissance was the 'renewing' or 'rebirth' of the classical. After arriving of Britons India was comparable with Renaissance Italy...





In Europe, it means those periods influenced by ancient Greek and Roman civilisations.

It also means regular and pared down in design.




The term "classical" usually refers to an earlier period in which the characteristics which marked that age were untainted by other influences as in "classical Greece" or "classical Music".
