Choose the correct slope of the line that passes through the points (-4, 8) and (-3, -6). 7 -14 0 14

OpenStudy (anonymous):

THe slope is -14.

Here comes gudden again.

OpenStudy (gudden):

Don't give direct answers @*Shadow*

OpenStudy (gudden):

@yoyogators ... use the fact that slope = (y2 - y1)/(x2 - x1)

OpenStudy (abdullah1995):

giving direct answers is probably the worst thing to do. make the person understand whats going on

OpenStudy (anonymous):

How do you guys solve this?

OpenStudy (gudden):

@abdullah1995 ... am telling the same thing to shadow, from quite some time...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You use the equation or what?

OpenStudy (abdullah1995):

you have two co-ordinates. use it to find the slope. \[y2-y1/x2-x1\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The equation takes too much time.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Just find the difference between the y coordinate.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

How much x changes.

OpenStudy (abdullah1995):

you can use that, but to make the person understand i think it's better to give the full equation and also give your shortcut.

OpenStudy (gudden):

Give priority to the actual method, while teaching than the shortcut....
