The function f(t) = 25 sin (pi over 2t) + 10 models the temperature of a periodic chemical reaction where t represents time in hours. What are the maximum and minimum temperatures of the reaction, and how long does the entire cycle take?

and what are your thoughs about this?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
The amplitude is 25 and Im not sure if that would make the maximum 25. I'm not really sure how to find the period either

well, we are midlining at 10, so the min max will be 10 +- 25
OpenStudy (anonymous):
what is midlining?
OpenStudy (amistre64):
the midline is usually the x axis (the y=0 axis) but when we add something to a function it tends to move it to some y=k axis ...
what is the normal period for say sin(x)
OpenStudy (amistre64):
if sin(x) is midline at y=0, then sin(x)+10 is midlied at?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
10?

yeah, so if it midlines at 0, with an amp of 25 ... but we move it up by 10, then its range has to be 10 +- 25
