hi welcome to OS! what do you need to do with this linear function?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I need help solving this linear function I know it's something so simple that I am not getting.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

solve for what?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what's the question though?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Solve for the slope and Y intercept.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ah i see! f(x)=mx+b, where m is the slope and b is the y-int. so from your equation: f(x)=-2x+6, what will be your m(slope)?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@jwatkins17

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

right (: how about b(y-int)?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Would it be 6?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes! now you're done :))

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you for your help :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

non problem :)
