Where are you havin trouble?

i need to find the value of x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Add the x-values together, then add the other values together. Move the x-value to one side and the other values to the other. Divide both sides by the coefficient of the x-value. You should find the value of x.

Simplifying x = 4.75

Can you show me what you did, because that doesn't look right. 12x + 16x = 28x, right? And 180 - (13-1) = 168, right?
