2. Use the function to answer the question. f(x) = -2|x - 5| + 3 What is the vertex of the graph of f(x)? (Points : 4) (-5, 3) (-2, 3) (5, -3) (5, 3)

We can begin with a model of how an equation can be changed to modify a function. f(x)= -a(x-b)+c A change in the number value of (a) changes the amplitude of the function, but making (a) negative also reflects it across the x axis. A change in (b), when positive, moves the function left (b) units. But when negative, moves the function right (b) units. A change in (c), when positive, movies the function up (c) units. But when negative, moves the function down (c) units. So your final answer will be option four, (5,3)
